Ground Zero – “the center or origin of rapid, intense, or violent activity or change.”
For the youth at First Christian Church, GroundZero is a starting point – a place where we can begin to be changed into what God wants us to be. And what does God want us to be? Plain and simple, he wants us to be disciples, Christ followers, Christians.
The mission of GroundZero is pretty simple – help students change and take their faith to the next level. As the youth minister, I want students to have a faith of their own – not their parents, friends, or ministers. And when the next step in life comes, whether it be more school or entering the workforce, that each student will be able to stand up for what they believe in.
Every Wednesday night we meet in The Barn for Bible study, worship, some crazy activities, games, and of course some great food from time to time! We also have lots of special activities such as youth conferences, retreats, day-trips, and anything else we can think of to do. If you’ve never been before, you just don’t know what you are missing!
